Racial
Elemental Resistance: You treat Dark attacks as one power level lower. (Light becomes Weak, Moderate becomes Light, etc. Weak is completely negated.)
Truthbound:
Class
Shadow Jump: (N/A) - By stepping into a shadow, Eugenie can essentially teleport anywhere, so long as their destination contains a shadow large enough to stand in. They cannot activate this ability in areas of full light or pitch blackness; shadows require a mix of darkness and light. This ability cannot be used to gain access to locked zones, and they must know where they are going; they can't blindly teleport to a person if they don't know where they are. In combat, they can only jump to shadows within sight, due to the concentration required to jump large distances.
Shadow Spy: (N/A) - Non-combat ability. Eugenie can scry on people via shadows. This requires them to stare into an area of shadow and concentrate on a specific person, and the person must currently be in shadow themselves. As such, this ability is most useful at night. Succeeds only with player permission.
Silent Scream: (Strong) - A damaging attack that operates on a frequency imperceptible to mortal races. It deals Strong Sonic and Dark damage.
Share Curse: (Moderate) - In a combat scenario, Eugenie can reduce the power level or duration of a debuff or curse by dividing it among up to three people. Outside of combat, they can share their racial truthbound 'curse' with a willing target to help ensure fair dealings.
Shadow Copy: (Moderate) - Non-combat ability. Eugenie can create a temporary duplicate of anything they read, provided they have a blank journal or paper to 'scribe' the words to. The shadow 'ink' vanishes within a day, meaning hand-copying is still necessary if a permanent copy is needed. The copied text counts as a Moderate Illusion effect for the purposes of detecting the 'forgery.'
The Stuff
Equipped Items
1. Blighted Fan - (Moderate, Cursed) The blurry, abstract pattern on this fan seems to move and shift. When combat is entered, the design snaps into sharp focus, showing snarling, demonic faces with glowing red eyes. Deals Moderate Physical and Dark damage. If used by someone without blighted blood, it binds to them, forcing them to use it in combat for at least one action/round, while at the same time dealing Light Physical and Dark damage to them with every attack they make (Curse - requires a Cursemaster to remove).
2. Dark Robes - (Strong) - These dark wine and black robes are trimmed with a silver filigree pattern and cut to allow for freedom of movement. Provides Strong Magical defense and Light Physical defense. Once per combat, can release a wave of darkness centered on the wearer that deals Strong Dark damage to everyone in the area. Those who are damaged are also blinded for one round.
3. Parasol - (Light, Dark element) Throw that shade (or shadows for a fast getaway, if need be).
Backpack
1. Blank Book - For use with Shadow Copy.
2. Roll of Parchment x5 - For use with Shadow Copy
3. Courier's Satchel - This item is attuned to a specific container. The holders of the satchel and attuned container may send items such as letters, documents, books, and scrolls between them instantly. It cannot receive anything that does not naturally fit inside - this ain't a bag of holding, yo - and is able to accommodate a sheaf of paper about three inches thick. This satchel's attuned container is in the possession of The Oracle.

Character Appearance: Eugenie stands at about 5 feet, and is petite overall. Their mixed blood resulted in an appearance that is more fairy or even elfin than tiefling: decidedly non-intimidating, which they use to their advantage. (Though the wings that can bee seen on their shadow are a little weird.)
Eugenie has dark, wavy, blue-black hair that falls halfway down their back and shimmering, dark pink eyes. Their skin is pale, but not inhumanly so, and their ears are pointed. In social situations, they prefer dresses to their robes. Their social garb is generally Victorian-flavoured, though that may change when they find out about vintage style a-line dresses from player tailors.
Personality: Eugenie enjoys people and socialising, thriving most when they have a full calendar of things to do and people to see. Their favourite type of people tend to be intelligent with a sense of fun and craftiness. They enjoy exchanges of sharp wit, though they tend to keep their own sharpness in reserve for when it's especially needed. They're largely unflappable, and are more likely to be amused than anything at difficult people. They like to poke a bit of fun now and again to encourage loosening up, but can restrain themself when it's not welcome. They have a rather wide amount of patience and pester-tolerance, not very easy to annoy, and even less easy to shock.
They have a pragmatic streak that's most evident in their approach to knowledge. They're a rather curious sort, and to them, all knowledge is good knowledge; that is, it's all worth having and knowing. They don't buy into ideas that some knowledge should be off-limits or forbidden. People can be various shades of good and bad, but knowledge is perfectly neutral.
Meta: Eugenie was seen most frequently in cut scene-type interactions when The Oracle's prophecies came into play. When a player entered dialogue or accepted a quest that involved The Oracle, Eugenie would often step out of the shadows to either pass on information or inform the player that they needed to see The Oracle (or "my dear brother"). They would also be seen socializing with other important NPCs or, rarely, skulking around in certain libraries or temples (there, they would put a finger to their lips, wink, and vanish into the shadows). They were considered an essential NPC and were thus immune to all forms of damage from players (but not other NPCs), and seemed to ignore reputation scores. They were known to act in defense of players who triggered attack from NPCs in zones where their reputation was too low and the NPCs too high level to manage, jumping in with a "Sorry dears, but we'll need them later."
Lore: The youngest of a wealthy family in [zone not unlocked], Eugenie had a strong interest in all things hidden or forbidden. Dark elemental magic and the Blighted were of particular interest. They maintained that all things were worth knowing, and knowledge it and of itself had no moral value: it just was. They bonded with their eldest brother (not named) over this philosophy and his own talents of foresight, though they had far more patience with those seeking knowledge of the future than their brother (they weren't the one being asked to See on command, after all). They became a sort of intermediary between their brother and those seeking his counsel, and followed him when he left seeking seclusion to focus on the larger picture with what he Saw.
The were the friendly face, the socialite, the personable snoop. They passed messages and portents along to those who their brother felt needed them, and in so doing, kept some number of events on track because if their brother had had to deal with them in person, he might have killed them ("necessary to the future" did not always mean "likeable" or even "tolerable" in some cases). Now, they still act in that capacity, but without the rote quests, they have a lot more time for socialising, and can be found anywhere they take a mind to visit (as long as the zone is unlocked, anyway).
